Selah: "To Pause and Consider"

John MacDuff - ""I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go; I will guide you with My eye." -- Psalm 32:8
No more precious assurance can I have, than this -- that I am under the constant, loving guidance of my heavenly Father -- that He appoints the bounds of my habitation, and overrules all events for my good -- that my whole life is a plan arranged by Him. Every apparent little contingency, as well as every momentous turn and crisis-hour -- forms part of that plan! "God examines every path a man takes." "A man's heart devises his way -- but the Lord directs his steps.""SELAH!
John MacDuff was a Scottish Preacher (1818 - 1895). It's been said of John, "For sound doctrine, presented Scripturally and devotionally, with its application to the Christian life, you cannot go beyond MacDuff."
As much as possible, credit will be given to those whose "Selahs" have prompted my own consideration and meditation. Some are originial (probably not many) with me or are completely anonymous. (Disclaimer: I don't say that every "Selah" story is true, it's an illustration that is designed to get you to reflect upon the point of the story.)
