Feb 28 2010	God is Omnipresent No matter where we go we cannot escape the presence of the Lord God. He is everywhere present at one and the same time. However, while He is everywhere present, our apprehension of that presence is affected by the circumstances of life on a daily basis. As followers of Jesus we must learn how to "live" in the presence of Almighty God. We do so by first of all recognizing and acknowledging that presence. Feb 21 2010	God's Omniscience As believers we need to understand who God is. The Scripture reveals to us how awesome is our God. But, we must be careful to not make God into "our" image. We are made into "His" image. It is comforting to know that while we have many many faults and sins, that God, in His great love and mercy, has provided the means whereby we are able to have peace with God and to come into His presence with the understanding that He knows all about us and loves us even while we are yet sinners. Feb 14 2010	The Love of God The better acquainted we are with God's love, the more our hearts will be drawn out in love to Him. Jeremiah tells us that the Lord loves us with an everlasting love and has drawn us to Himself with lovingkindness. Love is not a luxury in our world. Jan 31 2010	God's Sovereignty King David recognized the sovereignty of God and spoke of it often. Today's message reminds us that God's sovereignty controls all. God's sovereignty chooses His instruments and demands a response from us. Because God is sovereign, He is faithful. There is nothing to interrupt Him or cause Him to withhold His promises. What He has said He is able to do and He will do. God's sovereignty is a declaration of His attributes and character. There is no one like Him! We are quick to equate spiritual blessings with material getting but that is a totally false premise. Many have had to face great sorrow and did not lose sight of their position and standing with God. Jan 17 2010	A Day of Decline We are living in a day of decline. The state of the church is following the state of our country and compromise in the name of relevancy has caused many churches to completely lose their focus on their reason for being. The conditions we see today are also seen in the Psalms as David opens his prayer of intercession in Psalm 12 with a very simply cry: "Help, Lord!" We need to be crying out as David did.
