Our Leadership

Pastor Larry Vaughan

Before being called to Johnson City Alliance Church in early 2014, Pastor Larry pastored the Peninsula Alliance Church in Newport News, VA, for two years and the Rockdale Alliance Church in Conyers, GA, for over eleven years.  He and his wife, Carroll, also served in Indonesia as International Workers for the Christian and Missionary Alliance for 25 years.  Pastor Larry earned his B.A. degree in Pharmacy from Southwestern  Oklahoma State University and his M.A. degree in Bible from Columbia International University.  Pastor Larry and Carroll have four children, sixteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Kevin Fontenot

Kevin has served as an Elder for five years and taught an adult Sunday School class for ten years, but he and his family have attended JCAC for over 12 years.  He has lived in eight different states, but has been a resident of East Tennessee for nearly 27 years. He and his wife, Cindy, live on five acres in Washington County.  They have homeschooled their five children over a twenty year period, with only three years to go!  He enjoys gardening, carpentry, reading, and solving logic puzzles.

Bill Anderson

Bill and his wife, Gail, have been members of JCAC since 1986. Their previous home church was the C&MA in Oconomowoc, WI, which they left after Bill’s employer transferred him to TN, where he eventually retired. Bill and Gail have two children and three grandchildren. At JCAC, Bill has served as Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and Elder.

Gabriel Wiswell

An Elder at JCAC, Gabriel has lived in the Tri-Cities area with his wife, Wendy, and their two children, since 2011. Currently serving us at Johnson City Alliance Church in Small Group, Sunday School, and Mens' Bible Study. He is Accredited with the C&MA, working toward licensing and ordination in ministry. He enjoys preaching, writing, painting, history, cooking, and running. 

Randy Yates

Randy has been with us for 12 years, having previously served six years as head deacon and three years as an elder at JCAC. He has also led a bi–monthly Men's Prayer and Bible Study group for two years. Residents of Washington County for 12 years, Randy and his wife, Jean, have four children. Their older two have graduated from Liberty University and their son David and his wife Amanda attend JCAC. Their younger two daughters are students at Liberty University. Randy enjoys hiking, hunting, boating, and crossword puzzles.
